Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is the neoplasm most common salivary gland. Mainly affects the major salivary glands, and is much less commonly found in minor salivary glands, the most frequent being the palate and upper lip. Although pleomorphic adenoma is a benign neoplasm, usually the capsule is incomplete and tends to recur after incomplete surgical resection.
