Abstract

When you have completed a century of women's access to political citizenship in much of Western countries, we intend to reflect on the threats on women and that prevent them talk as full citizens today, in many parts of the world, including those areas often present themselves as pioneers in the recognition of such rights . We consider this conscious research complexities of the concept of “citizen” as it is known a “significant” polisémico and that the notion of citizenship has evolved throughout history, although it seems commonly accepted that this category defines people for belonging to a legal-political group that recognizes them as subjects of rights. At the same time, aware of the various dimensions of citizenship, we approach this study advocating an inclusive citizenship that does not annul the differences but that embraces those that are legitimate, such as gender diversity, analyzed according to these parameters, the state of citizenship women, in different parts of the world, and midway through the first decade of the XXI century.
