This paper establishes 11 basic categories of teaching and learning that let us to work with students affected by the so-called Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Based on the study of 3 cases of children between 3 and 4 years old, diagnosed with ASD, after analysing thoroughly all educational and therapeutic processes of 2 school years, this work defines those categories. First, from the perspective of the teacher, this work explains which are the fundamental units or cores that have to be prioritized as an adult-guide in the process of teaching, in order to make learning occur. Second, this work defines those categories as units that will be fundamental to influence the Potential Development Zone of the children. Finally, the process of learning and development of such students is explained through the exhibition of the 11 categories that serve as fundamental bases in the process of teaching and learning of the students with ASD.
