Abstract

Ecotheology has been very welcome and well received in Christianism. The Good News of the Gospel are a promise of liberation and fullness for the whole of creation, and specially for all Christians, called to join in the efforts for the protection of the natural environment. Theresa of Avila is an outstanding example of ecologic awareness, as she perceived nature as a living metaphor, the book of God open for all, a source of inspiration re-created in her writings.
