Abstract

There is a great controversy in the current scientific literature on concepts as the best condylar position for centric relation position (CRP) and if the presence of a centric relation-centric occlusion discrepancy could be related to the etiology of temporomandibular disorders. To determine condylar position in the glenoid fossa we have two basic techniques: first one through radiographic techniques, with simple tomography among them and second one with the use of anatomic semiasjustables articulators with auxiliarles for centric discrepancy slide measurement In this article we have reviewed the literature on the first techniques.
