Abstract

In this article we present an orthopedicorthodontic camouflage treatment from one of the five cases that were presented to become a diplomate member of the SEDO. lt is a mature male with a skeletal class III malocclusion affecting the 3 planes of the space. On one hand, we have a predominant vertical growth with anterior open bite. On the other hand, a narrow maxillary that affects to the anteroposterior and traversal plane and resulting in a skeletal and dental class III relationship. Also tooth size arch-length deficiency problems in both arches, more severe in the maxillary arch are present. Although, first treatment option was a surgical one, definetely treatment approach was by means of orthopedic-orthodontic camouflage. We have used rapid palatal expansion, quadhelix and fixed multibrackets appliances. It has also been necessary the extraction of 4 premolars.
