Abstract

This article attempts to highlight the lack of translations intoSpanish of novels belonging to the Italian literature of immigration.Despite the general interest raised in Spain by theliterature from the transalpine country in recent years, particularlyconcerning the genre of the giallo, only a tiny part of the workswritten by immigrants has been translated. This is the case ofsome women authors such as the German Helga Schneider and theAlbanian Ornela Vorpsi who have seen some of their novelstranslated into Spanish. The article aims to prove the importanceand need of translating into our language more of these texts, thatusually touch significant topics such as history, immigrants’situation and identity conflicts.
