Zusammenfassung

In the Western part of the Betic Cordillera the Malaguide Complex overlies the Los Reales Nappe. From lithological, metamorphic and structural features the Malaguide Complex and the Los Reales nappe can be included in the same tectonic domain. Both, the Los Reales and the Malaguide Complex differentiated during an extensional event which predates the thrusting of the Alpujarride Nappes
