This work includes the luminiscence dating (quartz-OSL and pIRIR on K-feldspar) of the +25-30m fluvial terrace of the Tajo River in the vicinity of Toledo, where the Acheulian site of Pinedo is located. The work is included in a broader project on the chronoestratigraphic analysis of the Middle and Late Pleistocene fluvial Terraces of the Tajo, especially focused on those places in which other Palaeolithic sites have been reported. Preliminary results of the analysis of the +25-30 m terrace in Pinedo, Cañete and Valdepastores-Cienfanegas indicate that the age of the gravelly base of the terrace is older than 292±17 ka, corresponding to MIS 9. Similar ages place different Acheulian sites of SW Europe in the transit MIS 9-8. An alluvial formation burying the terrace deposits yield younger ages of 11±0,9 ka BP (quartz-OSL) (MIS 2) developed at the end of the Last Glacial Maximum.
