Abstract
The Council Framework Decision 2006/783/JAI aims to facilitate the execution of confiscation orders by establishing simplified procedures for recognition among Member States. This commentary underlines the main measures to implement the principle of mutual recognition in the field of confiscation of results of crime in the European Union and to strengthening mutual trust in this matter by a direct relationship between the authorities of the issuing Member State and the executing one and by a great limitation of the reasons for rejection.
