Abstract
The Cohors I Celtiberorum is a Spanish auxiliary unit present in many ancient epigraphical documents. Some scholars had tried to rebuild unit's history, but only picking that old and controversial data (mostly epigraphical and textual). Our objective is to review both their work and data and to add new archaeological information in order to understand the nature and deployment of the unit under the Roman Empire.
