Abstract

Person Centered Planning (PCP) is a basic tool when the aim is to provide supports according to their specific needs and expectations. This support provision is given by expert professionals and also by every one that wants to help the central person to fulfill his/her rights, with the family playing a fundamental role. This new arrangement of resources to provide support implies that every person involved in the process should receive specific training. In this context, the PCP online training course was recently released. This format of training eliminates barriers such as time availability, geographical situation and its adaptable to different learning paces. It is fully available in Spanish, French and English (www.supportiveeyes.org). The training is mainly directed towards those who are part of the support group: such as professionals and parents or friends, although it is also available for anyone who wants to know more about this methodology. Throughout a series of multimedia animated contents, PCP tools are presented in a very dynamic way, showing how it is applied to practical cases and how they help people to be more self-determined and, mainly, to improve their quality of life.
