Resum
Both public and private organizations are involved in a day to day challenge: improve the services they provide. Those services are under continuous change and are focusing their effort on developing person centred actions. These actions include Person Centered Planning, Positive Behaviour Support and Active Support. Person centred actions imply a comprehensive transmission of values, information, abilities and processes to all the people involved with the change. These means an important preparation for the individual with disability, his/her family and a mind change among professionals. This process, that has many years of experience in other countries, is starting to come about in Spain. Coming from Public Administrations, Universities, regional and national organizations and local societies for people with disabilities, an important effort is being made to spread values that guide practices towards personal results and a wider life style. But this change does not always occur with the same pace that societal change and can vary according to the size and complexity of the service. However, all of them begin with an initial stage of information spreading and training, that is necessary for the change to happen. Within this communication different person centred actions will be reviewed, considering important factors for change and how are they being approached.
