Among the latter, one of the most illustriouswas Carlo Denina, author of a treaty,Dell’impiego delle persone (1773), who precisely dedicated a chapter to education. In Denina’s opinion, education was an essential pillar of the economic and moral progress of society, as long as it waspublic, universal and sufficiently prolonged in time. The articleanalyzes the way the Piedmontese author conceived the development of these three needs.
