Abstract
This article analyzes educational technology as an academic discipline, taking into account that is set in the context ofeducation sciences, and more specifically educational technology. The article analyzes the historical evolution of this discipline globaihj and also within the Spanish setting, likewise it undertakes its main approaches: empirical, medial-symbolic, contextual and social and cultural
