Abstract

Mixed nature study that analyzes the effectiveness of the training process to achieve the competences of the graduate profile of a Chilean higher education Professional Technical career. The qualitative study collects opinions from graduates, teachers and employers regarding the impact of the said process; besides it also analyzes the degree of coherence between graduation profile and the evaluations in charge of demonstrating the achievement of these competencies. The quantitative approach analyzed the correlation between grades of the module term subject assessments and of the final practice. The results show that there is no significant evidence of association between the final module evaluations and those of the final practice, although sufficient evidence is achieved to affirm that the graduates achieve the competences of the graduation profile through the training process, also verifying that such a process has structured protocols and processes for quality assurance.
