Résumé

A rubric has been designed and applied for the evaluation of scholarly works on Applied Mathematics made by engineering students, and the scores of a total of 120 works made by 186 students over six academic years grouped in three biennia (before and after the introduction of the rubric) have been analyzed. The results show a statistically significant improvement in ratings of the works, especially among the lowest grades, and also a greater homogeneity, due to a decrease in the standard deviation and in the coefficient of variation. The works have been classified into three categories (low, intermediate and high level) and have been analyzed by means of a correspondence analysis: the first dimension clearly separates the behavior of the biennia prior to the introduction of the rubric of the subsequent biennium, which is associated with the high-level works.
