Abstract

This research aims to know the variables related to Emotional Competence that show by adolescents in high performance schools. It a part of a Project of international excellence (EDU2015), within the GRoup of Interaction And e-Learning (GRIAL) of the University of Salamanca which objective is to study the relationship between Emotional Competence and academic achievement. Therefore, this study supposes an acknowledgment of these Competences for the future success of the students within a society more connected and that require people who are developed for their personal and professional well-being. The methodology of the study mixed, quantitative and qualitative approach, which based on the results of a multivariate statistical analysis of student performance, that where evaluated from PISA2015 tests and their associated questionnaires, which will be correlated with results obtained after Application of an Emotional Intelligence measure to determine the competences that have the greatest weight on the results.
