Resumen

Ankylosaurian thyreophoran remains from the Lower Cretaceous of Tenadas de Costalomo IV, near Salas de los Infantes (Burgos), are described. Geologically, the outcrop belongs to the Castrillo de la Reina Formation, which is Barremian-Aptian in age (Lower Cretaceous). The material is a plate. Based on its general form this plate is here suggested that came to the caudal region of a tyreofo-ran dinosaur. It has been compared with other dermal plates of stegosaurs and ankylosaurs. The Burgos material presents resemblance with some genres of anquilosaurs, but differs in his apex, that is more rounded than the others anquilosaurs plates. For lack of more significant information it is referred to Ankylosauria indet. The only ankylosaur reported to date in the Lower Cretaceous rocks of Burgos is Polacanthus. The studied material is part of the collections of the Museo de Dinosaurios of Salas de los Infantes.
