Abstract
The women’s initiative managed to reach one hundred years of Scouting and Girl Guiding, since women set themselves up as main characters in claiming their rights in front of Robert Baden-Powell in the Crystal Palace parade in 1909. Baden Powel’s open mind did admit the possibility of a women’s movement, giving her sister Agnes Baden-Powell the reponsability for organizing and writing a manual, Girl Guiding, with aperturistas ideas, favoring equal opportunities in that historical context which was particulary limiting for women. Italy and Spain were benfited by it.
