The sample was taken in three educational centers in Cáceres. The participants were students of Compulsory Secondary Education, a total of 452 young people responded to the questionnaire. The study aims to analyze the displacement habits of secondary school students in Cáceres and their perception of barriers to displacement. Students travel mostly on foot (52.2% go and 58.6% return). But there is a high percentage of passive displacement 47.6% in the first leg and 40.5% in the return. The main reasons for not moving actively are “I have too much to carry” (61.2%) and “it’s easier to be driven” (59%). Conclusion: The level of active displacement of Cáceres students is low and the main barriers are overweight bags and that it is easier to be driven.
