Resumo

The Osteoporosis is a Public Health problem and it is important for the follmving reasons; the problem is increasing as the life expectancy grows, and also the gravity and the main consequences such as fractures uf hip and column. In severa! centers of Primary attention in the Comunidad de Castilla y León the patients were evaluated by one densitometric techniques evaluation of their bony mass. In order to know if the quality of life in diagnosed osteoporoticos patients, is significantly lower than the quality of life of osteopcnicos and/ or normal patients, we used two instruments, one generic (i.e., the EUROQOL 50) and a specific une (i.e., the QUALEFFO), and also there was used a questionnaire to collect social-demographic information. lt has been observed that the higher seores were obtained by the osteoporoticos patients, for each one of thc dimensions evaluated by means of questionnaire.
