Abstract

The aim of this work is to establish an approach to the sequence of morphogenetic events taking place on the Spanish Hercynian Massif during the Tertiary and Quaternary Systems. The importance of the sequence of weathering processes with time and the relationships with climatic conditions in which they occur is underlined. These weathering processes were of epigenetic nature and, because of their slowness, each of them was able to affect successive geological periods.
