Resumen

Prospective observational descriptive study that evaluates therapeutic adherence on patients with osteoporosis by analyzing the factors that may influence on it. Sixty patients were studied by using a survey. Three indirect methods were used to evaluate the therapeutic adherence . The results were: 90% of patients are complying with the method for communicating self-compliance, 33% comply with the Morisky-Green test and 45% with the method for the knowledge of the disease. No significant association was found between the compliance and the analyzed clinical and demographic data. We conclude that the therapeutic adherence of patients with osteoporosis is low compared to similar previous studies and is high compared to studies of patients with other chronic processes. The compliance with the requirements of the treatment with biphosphonates is high, however, we observe a low degree of compliance with medical recommendations not directly related to the disease 's treatment
