Resumen
When emigrating, people are exposed to difficult experiences that have an impact on psychological health and may manifest: anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and even develop Ulysses syndrome. Objective: Identify the psychological impact of immigrants in America and Europe. Methodology: A study was carried out on migration data from various countries, provided by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs. Results: The population of Latin American countries does not always migrate to the closest places. Mexicans migrated more to North America, while Venezuelans often travel to Latin American countries. Conclusions: Emigrants tend to seek better living conditions, without considering the risk of losing their rights as individuals
