Résumé
The visual acuity, bifocal capability and quality of vision were evaluated in 100 patients who had implantation of a 815 LE difractive posterior chamber intraocular lens (3M). The postoperative follow-up exceeded 12 months in all cases. The corrected visual acuity for distance was of 5/10 or better in 94% of the patients. 45% were prescribed distance spectacles. Ninty-six percent (96%) of the patients had final corrected near visual acuity of J3 or better. Near spectacles were prescribed for 16 subjects. This kind of I.O.Ls has been well tolerated for 1 year after surgery. Althought, twenty-two percent of patients manifested some subjective intolerance.
