Resumo
The following pages are the transcription of the opening session of the 2nd Training Course in Archaeological Techniques organized by Arkeogazte between April and March 2012 in the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU). The aim of this course was to address the main bioarchaeological disciplines providing the methodological, theoretical and practical basis for offering to students and professionals in Archaeology a training complement. The first session took place the 25th April 2012 in Las Nieves lecture room building and was focused on the biological record in Archaeology. First, there was a presentation about the kind of information it can provide to the archaeological research and after that, there was a debate about the sampling techniques of various bioarchaeological materials.
