Resum

Renovascular disease is a potentially irreversible condition (loss of kidney function requiring dialysis and even resulting in death) if not correctly diagnosed and treated. High clinical suspicion should guide the appropriate diagnostic tests, the main test being Doppler ultrasound. Once a diagnosis has been made, selecting the patients who will benefit from medical, surgical, or endovascular treatment is complex and we must use the available indicators, even if they do not have a high level of evidence.
