Résumé

In this paper the analysis is stated of the effects of an anodic environment (-400 mV ECS, pH=12.5) on the fracture behavior of pearlitic steels previously subjected to different fatigue precracking levels. For analyzing the influence of the harsh environment on the fracture behavior diverse fracture test of precracking samples were carried out under constant crosshead speed up to fracture in anodic conditions where LAD (localized anodic dissolution) takes place. Testing were performed using two different material at micro-structural scale: hot rolled steel, the raw material of the wire drawing process, and the heavily drawn steel which exhibit at high anisotropic in the axial direction as a result of the cold drawing. This way, the influence of the residual stress and strain fields generated by fatigue precraking on the fracture in anodic environment of these steels can be obtained.
