The «Art of tracing floors» has been used since ancient times in stone buildings as an instrument of the master builder to inform the stonemasons about the cuts that should be made in the stone to get the desired piece. These traces, usually known as tracing floors, used to be made in blocks of stone and on the walls and the floors of the construction; therefore, in many cases, they have disappeared or been hidden inside the walls of the buildings themselves. Little by little more examples are being discovered in the Spanish panorama. In this work we present a series of tracing floors located on the walls of the Cathedral of Jaen, unknown until now, that complement an enrich the information known about this temple, as well as others located in the church of the old convent of Santo Domingo in La Guardia.
