Abstract

Violence towards women is a structural phenomenon based on social beliefs that maintain gender subjection. This violence is manifested in the sphere of the private and the public. In our legislation the legal victims of gender violence are those who suffer aggression from the partner or ex-partner, considering this the private sphere of a person's life. There are other forms of violence towards women, which are manifested exclusively in certain activities of a woman's daily life, ie in the public sphere. In these cases we refer to the violence suffered by women in the workplace. Violence suffered by women workers because they are women. There are two overt forms of violence against women in the world of work: sexual harassment and harassment on the basis of sex. The purpose of this communication is to deepen this problem and approach these situations from the social perspective.
