Abstract
This research focuses on the role of teachers as a link between the curriculum and the learning of science in non-formal activities attended by groups of schoolchildren; In particular, a set of activities carried out by the University of Salamanca were selected, within the framework of the “Festival de Primavera Científica” (Science Spring Festival) of the year 2016. In order to gather data a questionnaire was administered to the 66 teachers of Pre-school, Primary and Secondary Education who attended these activities. The results indicate the existence of a high degree of interest in extracurricular scientific activities, as well as in the educational resources provided by the entities. Likewise, there is a relationship between the educational stage and the number of cultural activities attended, as well as between the educational stage and the preparation of complementary activities by the teachers.
