Abstract

The utility of the dental operating microscope and the cbct as regards localization of the mesiopalatal canal. A case report The high percentage of existence of a second canal in the first maxillary mollar has been justified in numerous research papers. The purpose of this case report is to demonstrate the utility of the dental operating microscope and the CBCT as regards diagnostics and localization of the mesiopalatal canal in first upper molar. This case report shows the retreatment of canals of a first maxillary molar which had already undergone surgery apical, diagnosed by Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT). We planned the access cavity by the help of de tomografic slices and the canal was negotiated under magnification founding the existence of a canal untreated responsible of the apical lesion for the patient. CBCT was an effective diagnostic method for revealing the internal anatomy of a tooth with anatomic malformations. The use of CBCT in endodontics with magnification has increased the success of our treatments.
