Abstract

There are very different types of innovation and very different perspectives from which you can talk about innovation. In this article we write about technological innovation, to analyze how the capacity and intensity of technological innovations, in different types of social systems, can be affected by cultural factors. To do this, we propose a model of analysis of scientific and technological culture, and we present some of the most relevant results we have obtained applying it to the interpretation of data extracted from different sources (surveys of perception of science and analysis of content of school textbooks). We begin by defining the concepts that are used in our model, specifically those of innovation, culture, technology, and technological culture.
