Resum

Maths teaching at Engineering Schools has changed in the past 10 years irreversibly as a result of two transcendental events: The unstoppable use of new technologies (ICT) in academic environment and the establishment of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) as common teaching framework. This methodological change has occurred overcoming, in many cases, the resistance to change by both professors and students. Some new problems appeared also as a result of the constant changes that we suffer in the regulatory framework. In this article we cover the three main problems that in our opinion affect mathematics education at the different Engineering Schools: a low initial level of our students; the consideration of mathematics classes as rag bag that and the keeping of the traditional tests as usual evaluation method. The pointed solution includes a higher teaching cooperation and the design of new evaluation system.
