Abstract

A multidisciplinary methodology establishing teaching links between nondestructive testing and technical drawing is presented in this paper. Specifically, this proposal suggests exercises based on radiographed views of industrial parts with inner defects, to be directly applied to the teaching of industrial radiology. So, the shortage of exercises in the teaching books related to this subject is solved. What is more, the authors have developed an interactive virtual platform which helps not only the professor to explain the analyzed subject but also the student to be more motivated. A productive learning is developed with the proposed methodology, which contributes to help students to relate the mathematical basis of industrial radiology with the spatial geometry of industrial parts with inner defects. Finally, the proposed methodological approach motivates the students to learn about industrial radiology more than the traditional one.
