Resum

The planning and the effective use of various strategies to successfully design education is one of the most outstanding teaching skills within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA). The work presented aims to analyze the degree of importance and use of different teaching strategies to acquire general, specific and cross sectional skills. Method. The study was conducted through the information provided by 11 teachers and 30 students of Occupational Therapy. An ad hoc online questionnaire was developed with closed and open questions to rate the degree of importance and use of different strategies for skills acquisition. Results. Statistical analyzes revealed the existence of similarities and differences in the estimations of teachers and students concerning the use of different teaching methods. Conclusions. Further analysis of the teaching strategies used for the acquisition of skills should be performed, by utilizing other methodologies such as in-depth interviews or focus groups
