Zusammenfassung

On this work there are provided new data regarding the till deposits corresponding three valleys of glacier-related origin at the Sierra de Béjar. Given that these deposits are located out of what up to the moment has been considered as a glacier dominium, their interest is essential as they permit set the sketch of the evolutionary sequence of ice on these mountains. Such a schedule, which is itself the main aim of this work, is integrated on an interpretative model that of glacier history and evolution on these areas, which main pillars are the existence of both ice caps and ice fields, as well as a stage of maximum extension of glaciers previous to his maximum balance. On relation to the ice caps, the previous statements regarding the data obtained on diverse sectors of the Béjar, Nava and Gredos ranges have clearly demonstrated their presence. Therefore, we will just need to integrate on the evolutionary sketch the new type of glaciers to those traditionally described on the mountains, that is, the circus, slopes and valley ones. On respect to the new limit of the maximum ice extension, there is determined through the till deposits located out of the glacier dominium defined by the best developed moraine; such moraine is the one that traditionally has been considered o the whole of the Sierra de Gredos as the main one (representing the maximum ice extension). This sketches, initially considered as an exceptional and isolated fact (only quoted on the ancient glacier valley of the Serrá Gorge), is validated on the present work through the data obtained on the valleys of ancient glacier of the Culebrón, Endrinal and Cuerpo de Hombre.
