Resumen

This doctorate study is entitled "Synthesis anda modification of Layered Double Hydroxides for groundwater and soil remediation". It is part of a new European Horizon 2020 Marie Skolodowska Curie Innovative Traininig Network (ITN), calle Metal-Aid. The define goal of this reserarch proyject6 is to develop a new in situ method for the remediation of contaminated soils and groundwater which can be used without disturbing any activities on the surrounding land surface. As a part of the Metal-Aid projext the precise doctorate thesis is focused on the synthesis and characterisation of known and refined Layered Double Hydroxides (LDHs) and their application to retain contaminants, e.g. chlorinated solvents like trichloroethylene or heavy metals like chromium
