Resumo

Selon les données scientifiques, il y a des raisons de penser que nous avons quitté l'Holocène pour entrer dans une nouvelle époque géologique caractérisée par l'influence humaine sur le fonctionnement du système planétaire global : l'Anthropocène. Loin d'être une hypothèse scientifique, cette recatégorisation constitue un changement aux conséquences géopolitiques profondes, qui pose de nouveaux défis et risques éco-sociaux pour l'espèce dans son ensemble. Cet article explore les origines et le contenu de cette hypothèse, ainsi que la Grande Accélération, en accordant une attention particulière à ses effets sur les humains, ainsi qu'à ses implications géopolitiques.
