Abstract

Water is an external geodynamic agent in any of its three st ates (solid, liquid and gas) conditions and land surface models and directly influences climate change. This work shows how the coast of Galicia, as well as other coastal regions is influenced by the climatic conditions, which have changed over geologic time, especially during the Quaternary, for about 2.5 million years. . Astronomical criteria confirming Milankovich climate cyclicity, cause the rise and fall of sea level in the Galician coast and registration is reflected in the different morphologies and sedi mentary deposits are scattere d around the Galician coast, showing the different positions the paleolines of coastline and coastal paleogeographic arrangement conditional on the a lternation of glacial-interglaci al periods, plotting and old fractures most recent adjustments relative motion of tectonic blocks , generating inbound and outbound coastal, on which have sandy deposits fossil beaches, dune systems, beaches ... and shallow erosive morphologies, abrasion platforms and cavities.
