Abstract

In this paper, we present a state of the art updated with the main publications on the history of the friars of the Order of Preachers in Salamanca from their arrival in the city in the 13th century to the present day. Likewise, we include some unpublished sources of great relevance for the knowledge of the convent of San Esteban. We distinguish three historiography stages bounded between the 16th century and the first two decades of the 21st, which articulate this article, and which have allowed us to underline the fundamental lines of investigation of the object of study based on the History of Art
