Résumé

More than four decades have passed since Lola Aniyar de Castro began to spread critical criminology in Latin America. His pioneering texts followed a production that alerted criminologists in the region about the traditional etiological criminology and, finally, crowned them with his general work in 2013. It is obvious that no one can omit his name when analyzing the trajectory of Latin American criminology, given his contributions, which opened the critical chapter that it continues to the present and should continue, if it intends to be useful for our people.
