Abstract

The reduction of the excessive temporality of public employment under the labour regime is the backdrop against which this paper is set. Hence the analysis of the contribution to this objective made by the recent Real Decreto-Ley 14/2021, on urgent measures to reduce the temporality of public employment. Prior to this, a study is made of the jurisprudential work on the protection of temporary public employees, specifically "indefinite non permament" workers and temporary workers to cover vacancies. This jurisprudential work of protection has already been successfully completed, although it is also exhausted and ineffective in achieving the challenge of reducing the excessive temporality of public employment under the labor regimen in Spain.
