Zusammenfassung

The aim of this work is to give a general idea about the so ftware reengineering process and the approaches that can betaken when modernizing a legacy system that has become obsolete, though it maintains its functionality and its efficiencyhas been proved. We show the characteristics of a development process very suitable for this type of systems that isverified by means of a case study, the transformation of an application written in an imperative and unstructured languageto a new visual and object oriented language, describing the different methodology stages applied to a particular case.
