El VIII Programa Ambiental de la Unión Europea de 6 de abril de 2022

Resum

Continuing the consolidated practice over time, Decision (EU) 2022/591 of 6 April 2022 on the EIGHTH General Programme of Action of the Union in the field of the Environment for the years 2021 to 2030, and beyond until 2050, which continues the actions of the VII Programme, has been approved. The new Programme is closely linked to the 2019 European Green Deal and the Union’s progress on sustainable development. The Programme includes specific objectives and the conditions necessary to make progress on them, as well as a new monitoring and evaluation framework. The paper analyzes the general framework, the elaboration and the content of the VIII Programme.
