Abstract
This paper shows the supergenic paragenesis of Salamon gold deposit, a polymetallic gold rich mineralization, with epithermal origin, located at NE Leon province (Spain). Oxidazing action of the meteoric waters over the very complicate primary assemblage of this deposit, generated a supergenic assemblage constituted by several Fe, Cu, Zn, Ca, Mg, Ni, Co and U oxi-hydroxides, carbonates, sulphates, arsenates and silicates. This mineralization is very varied but presents a narrow extension, being limited to local processes of mineral replacement, directly over the crystals (in situ) or in the neighbouring areas.
