Abstract
The protective action of Social Security benefits can be assessed from de economic amount that they entail or from the perspective of an adequate development mechanism that makes economic benefit possible. Within the framework of this second scenario, a comparative study is presented between the benefit for a disabled dependent child and the minimum vital income that allows as to see analogies and differences, especially based on the latest trends in regulatory reforms.
