Resumen

In 2014, the Court of Justice of the European Union ruled that individuals have the right -under certain conditions- to ask search engines to remove links with personal information about them. This right -known as “the right to be forgotten”- has also recently been regulated by the General Data Protection Regulation. The present work relates some of the problems raised by the application of this right, making special reference to Spanish case law.
