Abstract

Ludwig's angina is an acute inflammatory process beginning in the floor of the mouth that invades the mylohyoid muscle and rapidly spreads to the submandibular spaces. We present a case of a patient that by a dental infection was originated an Ludwig's, that was complicated with a sepsis and mediastinitis. We comment the treatment and check the bibliography on the topic.
